Meet Your Coaches
Dunateo is a unique framework for getting more out of life that was born out of a unique mentor relationship turned into friendship.
At a critical stage in Michael Brownlow’s life, Per Nilsen selflessly invested into him as a spiritual mentor. With faith as such a powerful starting point it served as the launch point to forge what has evolved into a great friendship. Per even had the privilege of performing Mike’s marriage to his wife, Abbie.
Over the course of their friendship, Per and Michael have been able to bear first-hand witness to each other’s unique gifts, abilities and potential. Doing served as a catalyst for them to build out the framework that has now evolved into Dunateo’s program to support, challenge and transform their own lives. After more than a decade of building their relationship and leveraging the framework that’s allowed them to build more enriched and fulfilled lives, Per and Michael felt called to share the power of this system with aspiring and established leaders looking for and capable of getting more out of their own lives.
Michael Brownlow
Tenacious Learner - Coach - Executive Leader
Leading through example, a persistent pursuit of growth and work ethic he began to build at the age of 9, Michael Brownlow is a coach committed to helping other see, believe in and achieve their most meaningful goals.
Holding an undergraduate degree, 8 designations and 7 investment specialized exams, Michael believes firmly that you must be a lifelong student of whatever you wish to master. Throughout his professional career in financial planning, he’s performed nearly every role (excluding one) financial advisors are eligible to hold, including pioneering a few roles for the FORTUNE 200 company with which he’s built his practice. In doing so, he’s been able to lead clients as they map out their futures and guide colleagues who’ve been entrusted to his leadership to design and execute meaningful careers. Most importantly, as a husband and father to 2 girls, he’s been able to expand his understanding of how to achieve a more meaningful life by breaking the chains of self-obsession.
The African Proverb “If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run together” is at the center of his coaching philosophy. “Who we become is most often influenced by our affiliations and support systems. As a leader, I believe we must first lead by example and be what we want to see in others. It's important to balance care and accountability to help elevate people.”
Michael is committed to coaching people in way that allows them to feel seen, heard, and understood, first and foremost. He strives to help others transform their lives through gaining wisdom, building systems of application, and active implementation to create meaningful & sustainable change in their lives.
Per Nilsen
Life Giver - TEam Builder - Spiritual Mentor
Professionally as a pastor and personally as a husband, father and friend, Per Nilsen has spent his life in pursuit of helping others grow and discover the best versions of themselves.
Per brings to his coaching the transformational perspective of having 41 years of recovery from addiction, 34 years of marriage and raising two wonderful boys and walking hundreds of people through difficult circumstances. His life experience connecting with people from gas stations to family farms to drug treatment centers, paired with his academic pursuits in mathematics, physics and masters in theology equip him to approach his work in helping others grow through a complex and heart-driven lens.

Per has been privileged to work with individuals connected to both small and large organizations through providing wisdom, direction and a constructive environment for personal exploration and development and looks forward to continuing that work through Dunateo.
